Here at RV Supply Center, Inc we sell and install fifth wheel hitches. Some companies
install 5th wheel hitches by welding brackets onto your frame. While this is faster for
the company doing the installation and it saves them time and money.
It comes with some dangers.
First, if the frame is over heated it may crack. Second, some vehicle manufacturers will void the warranty, if the frame has bend welded on. And finally, if the electronics of the vehicle have not been properly protected they can be damaged by the welding process.
We install hitches by bolting them to the frame as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer and the hitch manufacturer. The hitches we recommend are rich in features and quality. Here are a few we recommendfrom top of the line to entry level.

Pro Series 15K Fifth Wheel Hitches
Features a side tilt of five degrees. The new rounded slide bar allows for ease of hook ups allowing the king-pin to fully enter the head before contracting the slidebar.
